Gant paper airplane: Researchers test giant paper airplane

Sher Afghan: Researchers have launched in the Arizona desert one of the greatest paper airplanes ever built worldwide, with 13.7 meters in length and wing span of 7.3 meters. The flight, which happened on Wednesday (21), is part of an event sponsored by the Museum Pima Air and Space, in Eloy. The objective of this experiment is also trying to whet youngsters' interest in aviation. A group of aeronautical engineers inspired by Arturo Valdenegro, 12, who won the regional contest to launch paper planes organized by the museum.

The model was flown Valdenegro further.The flight was designed and planned by engineer Art Thompson. For he lifted flight, it took a team with more than eight employees. During the flight, the airplane, which weighs about 360 pounds, reached a speed of 158 km / h. Valdenegro accompanied the launch day. The paper airplane was shot with a camera placed on the body of the plane.
