vulnerability in Mobile Safari iOS 5.1

Even correcting a bunch of vulnerabilities with the arrival of iOS 5.1, it is virtually impossible for a system to be error free. That said, David Vieira-Kurz, the MajorSecurity found a security flaw in IOS Mobile Safari 5.1, which can render a page showing an address (URL) different from the allegedly accessed.

The error is related to the JavaScript method window.open () , responsible for opening a new browser window mobile. In theory, this allows malicious users fooled by directing them to malicious sites.

The error was played on iPhones 4/4S, iPad 2 and the new iPhone - who wants to see with their own eyes, just enter this link through a iGadget (do not worry, it's just a demonstration by the staff of MajorSecurity without risk). Apple has been notified about the problem and a fix should arrive in a future version of IOS.
