Sher Afghan Malik: The adoption of the system Windows Phone arrived late to the market, but Microsoft has been investing in its application store. Today the company announced that its Marketplace has reached 70 000 applications available. The figures record a significant increase in the amount of apps available since last year. In December 2011 Microsoft had 50,000 applications on your Windows Phone Marketplace. This number rose to 60,000 in January and February closed with 70,000 programs to the mobile system.
The number of applications, however, is a major hesitation when it comes to buying a machine with Windows Phone system. This is because its main competitors, Android and iOS, have more than 500,000 available to users. And Microsoft recognizes that the variety and quality of applications are the main points in the competition between platforms. To this end, the company launched a program in 2011, called BizSpark , where recruits developers from around the world to build applications for Windows Phone. But with the recent launches of handsets with Windows Phone by Nokia and HTC, Microsoft expects to revise this picture. The company, however, has always said that with regard to applications is more focused on quality than quantity.
